Bringing up Maahira

Our society in Gurgaon (Raheja Atlantis) has a bunch of super enthu kids and moms who make Halloween very exciting. The kids dress up very well and some moms volunteer to take them door to door for trick or treat I had presumed that Maahira was too little and will not be interested in dressing up and going around(she was just 2 years in Nov 2021). But she always surprises me ! looking at Bhaiya getting dressed up as Harry Potter, she too wanted to get dressed up and go with Bhaiya. So we did some quick makeup at home to make her a cute little kitty.. She thouroughly enjoyed herself and was sooooo excited to get so many candies back home.. the highlight was how cutely she kept saying 'trick or treat' without understanding a word of it :)

March forward, chase your dreams, reach for the sky, be whoever you want.. fail but rise again and try harder.. Praying and hoping she continues to be the fearless, strong minded, independent girl as what she has shown us to be so far!Most importantly, wishing she learns to be happy and content with life! I will always have your back my doll!

 The first PTM at her pre school and the feedback we got from Mam was - she is always the first person to run and help her out when she needs something ! I was so happy to hear this.. and I have this quality with both Jaadu and Maahira.. always ready to help! See how lovingly she is polishing Papa's shoes!

 Maahira has shown immense love for dogs.. she loves to pet every single apartment dog that she sees downstairs.. Some time in Feb 2022, we had gone to see a few dogs who were up for adoption..(we were thinking of getting one home soon then, the plan seems derailed for now).. the way she played with the pups was so beautiful.. she wanted to touch, feel and explore every single body part of the pups, including their almost invisible whiskers!  I am extremely tempted to get a pup home, mainly for Chinmay but also for her.. I am sure she would share an amazing bond with it and it would be so heart warming to see her play with it.. hopefully some day soon!  Maahira went to her first pre-school in the mid of Feb 2022. We initially wanted to send her a weeks later.. However, she was very keen on going to school since Jaadu had started going to his school post pandemic.. so must that she actually insisted on being taken to school on the exact same day as Jaadu.. so I took her for her first day of school on 21st Feb 2022. The first day of school she cried a lot to let go of me and was crying on and off in the school.. The second day, she again cried a lot to let of me but did not cry at school..The third day, my little princess was all fine!! She settled in very very fast and started enjoying her school completely.. She is super happy and excited every morning to go to school.. loves to pack her snack box.. and loves to talk about how she also goes to school like Bhaiya :) She is waiting to 'grow big' so she could go in the big yellow bus with Jaadu Bhaiya.. For now, I am enjoying driving her to school and seeing her grow into a inde...

 I always wanted to have straight, silky , smooth manageable hair (I have the most wavy and frizzy hair possible! Mom however used to love my curls.. and she was super duper happy that Maahira had the curls too! I must say after seeing Maahira's curls, I have no qualms about my hair at all..Her hair is a perfect mix of straight at the top and curly at the bottom with the smoothness that adds to the beauty..I absolutely love her curls!

Maahira did not sleep in the baby cot for long. At about 8-9 months, she would hold the sides of the cot, stand and try to step out!  (she is our bindaas begum.. not scared of any risks!) This meant we had to find a new sleeping setup since Jaadu still co-sleeps with us.. The new sleeping setup is me on the bed, sleeping like Jesus Christ in between the two kids.. the two kids snuggling into me on either side and sleeping in my arms.. Poor chinmay had to go down on the floor mattress.. (I really miss sleeping next to Chinmay in his arms) My left hand wrist has a decently big mark from a deep burn and my right hand has a small protruding mole.. Maahira has designated the big 'foo' hand is Bhaiya's and the small 'foo' hand is Maahira's property while being put to bed :) There is nothing in the world which is more adorable, loving, satisfying, gratifying and precious than sleeping with your kids tucked in your arms.. i love to smell them.. feel them.. hold them.. w...

  Baabi for Papa and jaadu  MeeMee for mom Peebee when she pees on the floor Colors - pika, eew (yellow), aaou (orange), purple (can't even write in words the way she says purple.. puts her tongue between her teeth while saying the two syllables in purple.. its the cutest!)
